Tughra, a symbol or signature containing the sultan's name and nickname. Tughra has been written by master calligraphers for centuries as a branch of calligraphy. In Turkish, it means a special sign containing the sultan's name, the sultan's signature. Its origin is in the Oghuz dialect, and it means the printed signature of the sultan. The first tughra used by Orhan Gazi consists of the expression Orhan bin Osman, the first of the tughras is dated 1324 and the other 1348.
