Ebced is a word derived from the readings of the first four letters (EB-Ce-D) of the old order of the traditional Arabic alphabet (elif, ba, cim, dal). Ebced calculation is the process of calculating the numerical value of words, phrases or sentences and deriving meanings from them using an alphabetical number system called Ebced numerals.
